Lyric Swann, MB '2019, Long Reach Hall of Fame, HoCo Player of the Year

June 4, 2019

Maryland Blazers 2019 grad Lyric Swann truly made her mark on her showcase program, at her high school, Long Reach High School in Columbia, Maryland, her district conference in Howard County, and on the state of Maryland.  Swann led her squad to its second-straight 3A Maryland State Semi-final appearance and finished her career with 1,571 points scored. 375 rebounds, 307 steals, 263 assists, and 191 made 3-pointers.  This stunning performance placed Swann as the top leading scorer girl or boy in Long Reach High School history and seventh overall in Howard County history.    With such consistent commitment to all aspects of her game, it is no wonder that Lyric Swann was honored as the Howard County Player of the Year Award for the second year in a row!   This past month of May, she was inducted into Long Reach High School Hall of Fame and her retiredjersey #22 was awarded her at the senior awards ceremony.

Much respect for the commitment she has shown to get better every season and make an impact every where she goes.  Swann will attend University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in the fall of 2019.  Can't wait to see what she does next
