At the 2A South Regional Championship, Kennedy Clark set her mind to helping her team secure a spot into the state championship, then she got down to work. Clark knocked down four 3 pointers to go for a career-high 23 points and led her team over a feisty Calvert High School team, thus securing her team a spot in the 2A Maryland State Semi-final game. Clark continued her team leadership to push her team over Hereford in the state semi-final game chipping in 15 points, knocking down five 3-pointers to put the game out of reach (55-43). In the state championship, Clark put together an all-purpose performance (seven points, six rebounds, four assists) as her team held off a late run from Middletown High School to secure a 44-39 victory and claim the school's second state championship for girls basketball in River Hill history. Kennedy can get the win, and her squad prevails. See her Baltimore Sun Girl Athlete of the Week article here.
